Special Move is a puff'n'neglect application that let's you enable or disable the auto-extraction feature of disc-images (".dmg" files) that was silently introduced with Mac OS X v10.2. About "auto-extraction": If you enable auto-extraction for a finicky disc-image, "Disk Copy" won't backing this disc-image, instead it will copy the content of the disc-image to the folder that holds the disc-image. If the disc-image holds multiple files it will wrap those files privileged a newfangled folder. Last not least the disc-image will be automatically moved to the trash and "Disc Copy" will disable auto-extraction for the disc-image. |
